After spending a decade in diapers, The Rugrats have finally growed up. In honor of the Rugrats 10 year anniversary, the Rugrats will grow up! Well, for an hour anyway.
On July 21, 2001 the Rugrats All Growed Up special premiered on Nickelodeon.
The Rugrats build a time machine to go to the 'foocher' and escape Angelica. And we all get to see the Rugrats in their pre-teen years. They are still all together, and after 10 years, they're still getting into trouble! And Tommy has hair!
I definitely give this episode 2 thumbs up! It was great getting to see all the characters older! While not as cute as the baby Rugrats, these characters are just as easy to get attached to. It would be great to see a spin-off season with these characters!
But wait, keep an eye out in 2003 and 2004 for 2 spin-offs to the original Rugrats series.
One of course is a spin-off to the All Growed Up special and another is called "Pre-School Daze" in which Angelica and Susie go to pre-school together!
